Conveniently located between Traverse City and Suttons Bay (both only 15-minute drives). Hop on the paved TART Trail only 1.5 miles away. This trail winds through picturesque wine country from Traverse City to Suttons Bay with plenty of fun stops to enjoy along the way.
This rustic-chic cottage offers 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, hardwood flooring throughout. One king, one queen and two sets of bunk beds which is perfect for family getaways. Did I mention the panoramic sunset views over Lake Leelanau. You'll never want to leave!! The homeowners have opted to preserve the homes original charm with fully exposed ceilings throughout; however, that means there is no air conditioning. The breezes from the lake are magnificent and fans are provided.
There's currently an existing dock where the homeowners access their boats; however, they are in the process of installing a separate 12X12 platform for their guests to lounge and have easy access to the sandy bottom. There isn't a beach as the water comes up to the shoreline. It is recommended that guests wear water shoes, as it is a little rocky to start but gets sandy as you walk out. Perfect place to hunt for Petoskey stones.
Gather around the waterside firepit at night to enjoy smores and listen to the lapping of water. In the back of the house, you will find a creek and woods where kids can search for toads and other animals.
