After several years of Lake Michigan water levels holding steady we are now starting to see a noticeable drop in Lake Michigan / Grand Traverse Bay water levels in 2025 as they have decreased 10 inches from this time last year.
The United States Army Corps of Engineers collects and publishes current / past Lake Michigan water level data which is very important to many property owners in Leelanau County & Grand Traverse County who own real estate on Lake Michigan or Grand Traverse Bay.
